David Henry Bowers

David Henry Bowers, 75, of Somerset, died April 20, 2018, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born December 21, 1942, in Big Run, he is the son of the late Guy H. and Twila (Bargerstock) Bowers. Also preceded in death by a sister, Vivian Mucha and a brother William Bowers. Survived by his wife of 51 years, Connie (Barron) Bowers, children: Valarie Collins and husband John and Eric Bowers and wife Sara. Grandchildren: Alexandra, Ava and Ryder, step grandchildren: J C and Dustin. Also a sister, Marge Griffith and husband David. David was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Somerset County Amateur Radio Club, Somerset American Legion and a life member of the Somerset Volunteer Fire Department. He was an Air Force veteran serving from 1962 to 1966, a 1961 graduate of Shanksville High School, formerly employed at U S Steel and retired as custodian at Casebeer Lutheran Church. The family would like to thank Via Quest Hospice and its nurses Misty, Patty and Carol for their special care.
