Joseph Zanoni

Joseph Zanoni 88, of Somerset, died July 24, 2019, at The Patriot. Born April 5, 1931, in Quecreek, he is the son of the late Peter and Rosalia (Sicheri) Zanoni. Also preceded in death siblings, Camillo Zanoni, Esther Mancuso, Remo Zanoni and Leno  Zanoni. Survived by his wife of 55 years, Anna (Carli) Zanoni.  Children, Anthony Zanoni and wife Suzanne of Bedford and Christopher Zanoni and wife Karen of Berlin. Grandchildren,  Nathaniel, Isabella, Amelia and Joseph.  Brother of Corina Bonora of Ridgewood, NY and Eugene Zanoni of Jerome. Joe was a 55 year member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church where he served as an usher for 50 years. Also a member of the VFW, and Past Commander of the American Legion in Jerome and Somerset. He was a Korean veteran and also member of the DAV, Meyersdale Chapter and the Knights of  Columbus. He was a graduate of Conemaugh Twp. High School and worked out of Laborer Union Local #419. He enjoyed working bingo, going to Casinos and spending time with his family. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 Sunday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held at 10 am Monday at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Father Angelo Patti celebrant. Committal in Somerset County Memorial Park with military honors.
