Thelma M. Hoover, 91, formerly of Markleton, died April 27, 2018 in Berlin. Born March 2, 1927, in Fort Hill, she is the daughter of the late Frederick and Ada (Sweitzer) Nelson. Also preceded in death by her husband, of 69 years, Robert F. Hoover and a brother Frederick Carl Nelson. Survived by; her daughters, Nancy Drabish and husband Michael and Judy Hay and husband George both of Rockwood. Grandchildren: Jeffrey Hay and wife Sue, Christopher Hay and wife Jacki, Robert Hay and wife Justine, Tracy Sanner and husband Derik, Michael Drabish and wife Carissa, Matthew Drabish and wife Michele. Great grandchildren, Arianna Rizik and husband Luis, Jennifer Enos and husband Dave, Carissa Sanner and husband Anthony, Jeremy, Joshua, and Maggie Hay, Jessie Sanner, Allison and friend Vern, Emily, Sara, Jubal and Whitney Sanner, Zachary, Kali, Adam and Andrew Drabish. Also 4 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews Thelma was a member of the Fort Hill Church of God for many years, where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir and participating in the Ladies Group. Her greatest joy was her family and spending time with them. She also enjoyed working in her flower garden and being helpful to those around her and will always be remembered for her famous chocolate chip cookies. Family and friends will receive from 6-8 Monday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home and from 10 to 11 am Tuesday in the Kingwood Church of God where a celebration of her life will immediately follow with Reverend James Monticue officiating.
