Agnes Louise Mimna, 85, of Somerset, went to be with her Lord and Savior March 6, 2020 at The Patriot. Born August 25, 1934, in Windber, she is the daughter of the late Clem and Marian (Tipton) Callahan. Also preceded in death by her husband James Edward Mimna Sr. in 1965. Children, Barbara Beyerlein and David Mimna Sr. Grandchildren, Johnathon Mimna and Bruce Mimna Jr and brothers Charles and Thomas Callahan. Survived by sons, Robert Mimna (Beth) of Cartersville, GA, James “Ed” Mimna Jr. (Theresa) of Somerset, Brian Mimna (Nancy) of Virginia Beach, VA and Bruce Mimna of Friedens. Daughter, Susan Fritz (Johnny) of Friedens and Daughter-In-Law Jodi Mimna of Somerset. 17 Grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and very special and dear friend, Doris Miller. Agnes was a member of the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church where she taught 2 – 4 grade Sunday School. Life member of Trinity Chapter 138 O.E.S. and the Red Hat Society. Retired state employee of the Somerset, Torrance and Ebensburg State Hospitals. Former employee of Somerset/Bedford MH/MR and Somerset County Workshop. She cleaned at many local businesses and churchs, volunteer driver for S.A.M. Van and meal deliverer for Meals On Wheels. She was a 1953 graduate of Somerset High School. Agnes enjoyed cooking for family and friends. She was most famous for the pies she baked throughout the years. Viewing will be from 9- 11 am Saturday in the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church where services will immediately follow with Reverend Rick Helsel officiating. Interment at Somerset County Memorial Park will be at a later date. Please no flowers. Contributions may be made to Meals On Wheels, 235 W.
