Albert Wong M.D.

Albert Wong, M.D. 93, of Somerset, died February 4, 2026 at his residence. Born May 20, 1932 in Stockton, CA he is the son of the late Albert Y. Wong and Tillie (Tom) Wong King. Also preceded in death by his wife, Doris (Lew) Wong and sister Dorothy Jane (Wong) Yaplee Shaw. Survived by children, Bradley Wong, Monique (Wong) Leong, Duane Wong and Laurette Wong, grandchildren, Jon Luke Leong, Jennifer Leong, Julie Ann Leong and their father Eric Leong and Loralee Chrestler and her father Steve Chrestler. and a sister Patty M. Leong. Cousin Edward Wong M.D., nieces Rebecca Leong M.D. and Deborah Leong PHD and nephew Steven Yaplee M.D. Also survived by other nieces, nephews and cousins. Albert was known as a longtime OBGYN in Somerset dating from 1973 to 2005, when he retired, after serving the community delivering over three thousand babies at Somerset Community Hospital now UPMC Somerset. His mother Tillie Tom Wong King was a descendant of the Sam Tom family of Missoula, Montana who were members of the Son’s and Daughter’s of Montana Pioneers dating back to December 3, 1868.
