Anna Brocht passed away on July 5, 2023 only a few weeks shy of her 97th birthday. She was born September29, 1926 in Berlin and lived most of her life in Somerset. She was the daughter of the late Mike and Catherine (Mondzak) Drabish. Also preceded in death by her husband Alfred Brocht, siblings Pete, John, Charles, Metro, Mike, Mary Julia, Evelyn Thomas and Catherine Nicholson. Ann had been married to Alfred, formerly of Garrett, for 49 years. She is survived by her daughter Patricia Ann McCall and her husband David, Grandsons Jeremy, Matthew and Daniel. Great grandchildren: Anna, Samuel, Leah, Evie, Conner, Logan, Elizabet wife of Jeremy and Brittany wife of Daniel. Ann worker her entire life. She attended Berlin High School and worked in factories, clothing stores including Penn Traffic and Hess’s. She paid great attention to her yard, gardens and neighborhood. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church also attended Somerset First Church She loved God, people, family and was a light to many. Even in her final weeks she brightened hospitals and The Patriot with her work ethic, smile and concern for others. To God Alone Glory. Friends will be received from 4-8 Thursday in the ROBERT H. HALVERSON FUNERAL HOME and from 10 – 11 Friday in the Somerset First Church where services will immediately follow with Reverend David Mc Call officiating.
