Archie C. Matha

Archie C. Matha, 85, of Central City, died July 16,2021. Born March 18, 1936 to William N. and Olive (Irwin) Matha in Sergeant, PA. He was preceded by his wife Joyce (Russell) Matha after 59 years of marriage; son Brad; a sister, Wilda Osterman; and brother Roy J. Matha. He is survived by a daughter, Dawn (Doug) Addleman; granddaughter Kelly (Matt) Clever; grandson Caleb (Leah) Addleman; great grandson Elijah Clever; sister Pamelia (Michael) Gordon of Tucson, AZ; special friend Elizabeth Mooremack and numerous nieces and nephews. Archie began his career as a machinist before entering the education field. He came to Somerset County in 1972 and was coordinator of the Somerset County Vo-Tech School until his retirement in 1988. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling with Joyce in their RV after retirement. Interment at Somerset County Memorial Park will be private. Arrangements under the direction of Robert H.
