Betty Jane Charlton

Betty Jane Charlton, 88, of Friedens, died November 13, 2018. Born March 23, 1930, in Somerset, she is the daughter of the late Lloyd  and Edith (Mowery) Showman.  Also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Samuel E. Charlton, son Barry Charlton and grand daughter Dana Lucas Hoffman. Survived by children: Linda Lucas of Boswell, Sherry Baronie of Windber and Timothy Charlton of Friedens. 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchldren. Betty was a member of the Boswell Church of God. The family would like to give a special thank you to In Touch Hospice House for their kindness and caring. Friends will be received from 6-8 Friday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home and from 9 to 10 am Saturday where services will immediately follow with Reverend James Davis officiating.
