Betty M. Owen 99, of Friedens, died May 1, 2022 at her residence. Born April 21, 2941, in Somerset, she is the daughter of the late George and Eva (Cramer) McClintock. Also preceded in death by her husbands, Roy I. “Pooky” Pile and John Owen, and a brother Teddy McClintock. Survived by children: Kerrie Broderick and husband Jim of Berlin and Rodney R. Pile of Central City. Grandchildren: James R. Broderick. Patrick Broderick, Rodney Pile Jr., Edward Pile, Elissa Mihalko, Eric Pile. Great grandchildren: Morgan, Devan, McKenna, Alexis, Isabella, Larissa, McKenzie, Dakota and Makayla. Great great grandchildren: Camden, Cash, Olive, AJ, Ava, Grayson and Maverick. Betty was a member of the Friedens Lutheran Church and worked for GTE as an operator and also The Department of Agriculture in Washington during WWII. The family would like to give thanks to Betty’s special care givers, Cara and Barb of In Touch Hospice and Dainne Coleman, Sue Willison, Martha Flick, Tammy Martin and Tricia Vought. Friends will be received from 10 to 12 noon Wednesday in the Friedens Lutheran Church where services will immediately follow with Reverend John Barichivich officiating.
