Charles M. Kline, 97, passed away on March 3, 2026 at Somerset Sr. Living. He was born April 1, 1928, in Jenner Twp. to Charles M. and Irene E. (St.Clair) Kline. Preceded in death by parents, beloved wife, Doris (Montgomery) Kline, daughter Bonnie A. Kline, sisters Dorothy Kline and Evelyn (Kline) Larimer. Survived by children, Lori J. Furlong, Charles M. Kline Jr., and Jill M. Kline; Grandchildren Gretchen T. Cuber and Adam D. Furlong; Great-Granddaughter Emma M. Cuber; Sister, Thelma May and numerous nieces and nephews. Also survived by friend and caregiver, Jen Barron, who he affectionately called “Mama” for always looking after him. Special friends Kate and Steve Barron. Charlie and Doris made a home and raised their children in New Jersey, where Charlie worked in multiple trades and later owned his own gas and service station. With a passion for learning, Charlie mastered multiple trades throughout his career and continued to learn new things even after retirement. From machining to welding, automotive to investing and baking to cooking, he rose to any challenge and always enjoyed the opportunity to learn new things. Special thanks to the staff at Somerset Sr. Living and ViaQuest Hospice for their care and support. Guests will be received from 1:00-2:30PM on Sat. March 14th in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, Somerset where services will immediately follow at 2:30 PM with Internment at St. John’s Cemetery, Edie immediately following. The Rev. Dr. Joseph Beer will be presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mt.
