Clarence S. Greig, 80, of Cumberland, formerly of Somerset passed away December 3, 2024 in Frostburg, Md. He was born in Meyersdale on December 3, 1944 to the late Leonard Carlyle, and Margaret Mary (Sipple) Greig, also preceded in death by brothers Bill, Deanie, Blaine, Henry, Leonard, and sister Margie. Clarence was survived by his wife Judy (Dietle) Greig, daughter Jill Cage and husband Bruce, sisters Bernice Hutchins, Nancy Hetz, Sandra Wilhelm and husband Dale, Clara Miller and husband Wayne, Carol Hershberger and husband Phillip, numerous nieces and nephews, and beloved cat Max. He was a 1963 graduate of Meyersdale High School, an Army Veteran, and he retired in 2010 after 26 years of driving for New Enterprise. He was a Nascar fan with his favorite driver being the late Dale Earnhardt. He loved watching the Steelers from his living room where he would cheer them on. He and his wiife Judy enjoyed traveling throughout the states. He was a kind man who always put the needs of others before himself. Family and Friends will be received Friday at 11am until the time of service at 1pm at the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home Pastor Ruth Jenson will be officiating and internment will take place at Somerset County Memorial Park. Condolences may be made at halversonfuneralhome.com.
