David Griffith

David W. “Buck” Griffith Jr., 87, of Somerset passed away January 25, 2024 at The Patriot.  Born August 19, 1936, he is the son of the late David Griffith Sr. and Rosalie (Driggs).  Also preceded in death by his son Terry and granddaughter Gail Lichty Custer. David is survived by his wife of 65 years Marjory (Bowers) Griffith, children David (Cindy) Griffith of Berlin, James (Marcy) Griffith of Missoula Mt., and Susan (Charles) Lichty of Rockwood, grand children Jennifer (David) Custer, Ashley (Mike) Benton, Emily (Sam) Brick, Lisa Lichty, James Griffith, Great grandchildren Trevor, Collin, Max, and Lucy, and sister Daryle Sheftic of Johnstown.  He was one of the original partners of Somerset Well Drilling and a 1955 graduate of J.B.J.  High School. He was a hard worker and would do anything for anyone.  He enjoyed working in the woodshop, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.  Family and friends will be received Thursday 4-7 in the ROBERT H.
