Dean K Murray

Dean K. Murray, 90, passed away November 17, 2022 at his residence in Somerset.  Born January 29, 1932 in Somerset to the late Wilbert and Ruth (Marteeny) Murray.  Also preceded in death by wife Doris L. (Rhoads) Murray to whom he was married 60 years, daughter Patricia Spangler, sister Janet Poisal, and brother Robert.  Dean was survived by his children Bradley Murray (Edie) of Friedens, Richard Murray (Sherry) of Somerset, and Diane Murray of Somerset, son in law Bob Spangler, grandchildren Dorian, Travis (Kateryna), Cody, Dylan, Kyle, Kelsey, Kerry Murray, Brooke Mastrocola (Steven), Ryan Spangler (Libby), great grandchildren Victoria, Kristina, Evangeline, and sister Nancy Grimm of Acme. Dean was a member of Mt Calvary Church, a Corporal in the US Army during the Korean War, he worked for Penelec for 18 years, and was Co-owner of D&B Auto Sales for 53 years.  Friends will be received 2-4, 6-8 Monday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where services will be held Tuesday at 1:00 PM with Josh Spangler officiating.  Interment will be held at Somerset County Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to In Touch Hospice Po box 1173 Somerset, Pa 15501.   Condolences may be made at www.halversonfuneralhome.com.
