Eleanor C. Shirey

Eleanor C. Shirey 96 of Somerset, died September 13, 2025 at Somerset Health & Rehabilitation. Born February 28, 1929 in Jenner Twp., she is the daughter of the late Robert and Lavina (Ream) Shirey. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. Also preceded in death by siblings Donald, Robert, Ellis, Mildred and Rosella. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Eleanor was retired from the Somerset Hospital dietary department. In her younger years she was deeply involved in her church community including playing the organ, singing in the choir and teaching Sunday School. Her hobbies were knitting and crochet. She loved to get into her car and go for long drives. A graveside service will be held Thursday September 18th at 11 am in the Hoffman Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of the Robert H.
