Elizabeth Betty Koshute

Elizabeth “Betty” T. Koshute 96, of Quecreek, died November 23, 2019 at her residence.  Born July 8, 1923 in Wilbur, she is the daughter of the late Giovanni and Gioustinna (Tassi) Lapina. Also preceded in death by her husband Joseph, brothers William and John. Survived by  daughter Theressa Burkett and husband Ronald of Quecreek and numerous nieces and nephews. Betty was a member of St. May’s Byzantine Catholic Church and the Ladies Garment Workers Union. She worked as a seamstress in New York and Johnstown. Friends will be received from  2 -4 & 6-8 Tuesday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where services will be held at 10 am Wednesday with Father Ivan Rusyn officiating.
