Ella Mae Rubis

Ella Mae Rubis, 92, of Somerset passed away November 10, 2024.  Ella Mae (“Ellie”) was Born March 20, 1932 in Somerset County. She is preceded in death by her husband James Rubis and parents Michael Mihalik and Marie Cresswell. She is survived by children Jacquelyn Power and husband Christopher of New York, Jerry Moody and wife Darla of Somerset, and John Rubis and wife Michele of Massachusetts. She was a warm and loving grandmother  to Courtney, Caroline, Devin, Desirae, Shaylee, Sierrah, Savanah, a cherished great- grandmother to  Rylee, Emerson, Hadley and Boone; a dear sister to brother Joe Tirko and sister Shirley Drake.  Ella was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and worked as a Teller at County Trust. Family and friends will be received Thursday from 6-8 at the Robert H.  Halverson Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be held Friday at 10 am at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Father Angelo Patti Celebrant.  Committal will follow at Somerset County Memorial Park.
