George W. Hoffman

George W. Hoffman 87, of Lincoln Twp., died January 8, 2024 at The Patriot. Born May 24, 1936, in Lincoln Twp., he is the son of the late Clark W. and Anna Ruth (Swank) Hoffman. Also preceded in death by a son Jeffrey, sister Marion Beistel and brother William Hoffman. Survived by his wife of 61 years, Shirley (Nicklow) Hoffman and these children: Brian Hoffman and wife Christine of Somerset, Carolyn Hauser and fiance Timothy Tewell of Crochranton, PA and Bradley Hoffman and wife Mica of Cochranton, PA. Grandchildren: Barrett Hoffman, Amber Wittmann, Anderson Hauser, Mitchell, Colton and Wyatt Hoffman. Great grandchildren: Daelyn and Daxon Lintz and Rylee Hoffman.  George was a member of the First Christian Church and a lifetime member of the Sipesville Fire Department. He retired from Gilmour Manufacturing. He loved farming, hunting, making maple syrup and spending time with his family. Friends will be received from 6-8 Friday in the ROBERT H. HALVERSON FUNERAL HOME where services will be held at 11 am Saturday with Reverend William Blair officiating. Interment in Sipesville Cemetery.
