George W. Male

George W. “Slader” Male, 75, of Somerset, died February 10, 2020 at Siemon’s Lakeview Manor. Born May 24 1944, in Somerset, he is the son of the late Willard Harold and Ruth (Armstrong) Male. Also preceded in death by sisters, Martha White and Mary Dantes and a brother Harold and  Brothers-in-law Frank White and Richard Doyle. George is survived by nephews and nieces, Allen Male, William Doyle, Charles White, Earl White, Ellen White, Susan Gustavsson, Ann Burke and Jean Baxley. Sister-in-law Lois Male and special friends Shelley and Metta Darr. He was a member of the St. Paul’s United Church of Christ , Somerset VFW Post 554, New Baltimore Sportsman Club, Hillegas Hunting Group and Roxbury Sportsman Club. He was an Army veteran of Viet Nam and a 1962 graduate of Somerset High School. He was a salesman for Eisler Motors and Mardis Motors. Friends will be received from 10 to 12 noon Saturday           in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where services will immediately follow at 12 noon with Reverend  Matthew Deal officiating.
