Geraldine "Gerry" Walker

Geraldine “Gerry” E. Walker, 91 went to be with the Lord on September 28, 2023. Born in Markleton, PA on April 21, 1932 to the late Norman and Alice Bowman. Married the late Robert E. Walker July 29, 1951. Also preceded in death by brother George Bowman and wife Nancy and brother Devon Bowman. Survived by sister Violet Walters and husband Ronald, sister-in-law Linda Bowman, brother-in-law Kenneth Walker and sister-in-law Gwin Walker. Sons Wayne Walker and wife Diana of Confluence, Dennis Walker and wife Heidi of Mount Pleasant and Mark Walker and wife Nora of Johnstown. Also grandchildren Rebecca Royal and husband Kevin, Valerie Walker, Kristy Lambert, Monty Walker, Francesca Walker and six great grandchildren. Gerry was an active member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Bob and Gerry loved to travel, sight see and visit friends and family. Gerry’s family was the center of her life and she loved playing cards and board gamed with everyone. Nothing delighted her more than spending time with her sons and their families. At Gerry’s request there will be no viewing or funeral services. A memorial service will be held on Saturday October 14th at 11:00 am with a luncheon to follow at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staffs of Laurel View Village and UPMC Somerset for the care they provided. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be directed to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 918 Tayman Ave, Somerset, PA 15501 or Somerset Food Pantry at the same address.
