Harold E. “Pete” Wyant, 82 Johnstown, formerly of Jennerstown stepped into Heaven on July 31, 2022 at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, surrounded by his loved ones. Born march 9, 1940 in Shade. Son of the late Jacob and Effie (Foust) Wyant. Also preceded in death by infant son, Grandson Cody Wyant, brothers James, Clyde, and Gary, sister Betty and in-laws Jacob and Olive Manges. Survived by wife of 60 years Delores (Manges), daughter Debra Lynn and husband Robert “Milt” Bittner, Harold Jr. “Spike” and friend Sue, grandsons Joseph and wife Cheryl, Brandon, Zachary and wife Elizabeth, Casey and friend Shailin, Great grandchildren Shelby, Bentley, Nash, and Zoey. Siblings Kenneth and wife Geraldine, Evelyn Weight, Helen O’Shea, Donna Felix and husband Bruce, sister-in- law Judy Weyant. Pete retired from IBEW Local 5 after 27 years. He volunteered at Boswell Food Pantry and Camp Parc until Rheumatoid Arthritis controlled his activities. His hobbies included Nascar racing, blue grass music, and traveling. Pete was known for his well maintained lawn and his mashed potatoes, but above all the most dearest thing to his heart was spending time with his loved ones. A memorial service will be held at 11 am Saturday August 13, 2022 in St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church in Somerset with Pastor Scott Steltzer officiating.
