Harry Mario Dirienzo Jr. 82, of Somerset, died May 30, 2021 at his home. Born December 28, 1938, in Somerset, he is the son of the late Harry Mariano and Lena Ida (Testa) Dirienzo Sr. Also preceded in death by brothers, Dominick and wife Leona, Alfred and sisters Mary Louise Maggard and husband Jimmy, Julia Luteri and husband Robert. Survived by his wife, the love of his life, of 55 years, Florence (Zuccolotto) Dirienzo and these children, who were his badge of honor: Valinda Young and husband Tim, Mario Dirienzo, and Louie Dirienzo and wife Beth (Sandusky). Grandchildren: Keaton Young and wife Valerie, Corin Kapcsos (Young) and husband Tom, Ross Dirienzo, Alex Dirienzo, and Mia Dirienzo and great grandson Clayton Young. Brother of: Lorraine Maragioglio and husband Angelo of Denver, PA and Joseph Dirienzo and wife Georgia of Somerset. Also survived by ;sister-in-law Bonnie Dirienzo and several nieces and nephews. Harry owned and operated his own trucking business and loved his old Mack truck. He was a 1957 graduate of Bishop Mc Cort High School and was employed by Somerset County Transit. He served in the Army during the Cuban Crisis. Everything he did in this life was focused on his wife and family. He really enjoyed Friday night dinners with the family and helping with several construction projects. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports, camping, chopping wood, hunting and working. He was a quiet hero, lending a hand to those in need all through his life. His pride and joy was his children and grandchildren, showing everyone photos every opportunity he had. His wife was his sunshine. He loved his job and the people he worked with, especially his passengers. He was never empty handed, passing out chips, donuts or ice cream. Friends will be received from 4 – 8 pm Tuesday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday at 10 am in St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Father Angelo Patti celebrant. Commital in Husband Cemetery.
