Helen Elizabeth Fye

Helen Elizabeth Fye, 89, of Friedens, died  October 26, 2020 at UPMC Somerset. Born September 9, 1931, in Jenner Twp., she is the daughter of the late Arthur and Margaret (Maurer) Gilbert. Also preceded in death by her husband Elden Fye, 6 sisters and 2 brothers. Survived by sons, Marvin Fye and wife Janet of Orwell, OH and Barry Fye of St. Petersburg, FL. Grandchildren Alyssa and Marvin Jr. and a brother Dwight O. Gilbert and wife Emma of Stoystown. Brother-In-Law Marlin Fye and Sister-In-Law Donna Michelotti. Helen was a member of the Faith Christian Missionary Alliance Church and retired form Somerset Hospital where she worked in central supply and later worked for Hemminger Homes. She was a 1947 graduate of Somerset High School.  Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 Friday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where services will be held at 11 am Saturday with Reverend Joe Gary officiating. Interment in Beams Cemetery.
