Homer W. Hinzy

Homer W. Hinzy Jr. 83, of Somerset, died January 22, 2018 at his residence. Born December 19, 1934, in Casselman, he is the son of the late Homer W. and Bessie (Pyle) Hinzy Sr.  Survived by his wife, Marion (Carpenter) Hinzy, children: Jeffrey Hinzy of Orlando, FL and Pamela Hinzy-Jensen of Largo, FL. Grandchildren: Andrew and Adam Jensen.   Also 5 brothers and 5 sisters.  Homer was am member of Somerset Masonic Lodge # 358.  He was a retired Art Teacher at Somerset Middle School and enjoyed golfing and reading. He was also a Navy Veteran. He will be missed by his family and friends.  Friends will be received from 6-8 Thursday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home  where services will be held at 1 pm Friday with Reverend Jeffrey Popson and Reverend Arthur Gotjen officiating.  Interment in St. John’s Cemetery.  Contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice   1590 N.
