Irene Louella Weimer

Irene Louella Weimer, 82, of Acosta, went to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by her family April 13, 2019, at her residence. Born February 25, 1937, in Somerset, she is the daughter of the late Van and Dorothy (Foster) Tressler. Also preceded in death by her husband Christopher Weimer, granddaughter Becky Gray, great grandson Evan, brothers Thomas and Van Tressler Jr. and sister Carol Ann O’kinsky. Survived by children: Christopher Weimer Jr. and wife Vicky of Acosta, Melody Snyder and husband Bill of Acme, William Weimer and wife Patti of Friedens, Pam Weyand and husband Bob of Jenner Crossroad and Lorene Drake and partner Ted of Rockwood. Step daughters: Norma Maurer of Pineville LA and Arlene Dundore of Greenville, NC.  Also numerous grandchildren,  great grandchildren and great great grandchldren.  Sister of: Delores Mack of Acosta and Carl Tressler of Wichita Falls, TX. Irene attended the Acosta Church of God, was a 1955 graduate of JBJ High School and was a former employee of Dorfman Hoffman in Boswell and retired from Gilmore Manufacturing.  She devoted her entire life to taking care of her family and friends. Friends will be received from 2 -6 pm Tuesday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where a service will immediately follow with Reverend Kurtis Frampton officiating. Interment in Salisbury Cemetery will be private.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 or Shrine  Children Hospital, PO Box 1984, Altoona, PA 16603.
