James A. Sines

James A. Sines, 72, of Somerset, died September 12, 2018, at his residence. Born December 6, 1945, in Terra Alta, WV, he is the son of the late Harry and Ruth (Howell) Sines. Also preceded in death by a grandson Todd Boyer and an infant brother Chester Arthur Sines.  Survived by his wife Sammy (Whipkey)  Sines and these children: James A. Sines Jr. of Somerset, Catherine Boyer and husband Mike of Shanksville and Betsy Shaffer and husband Kevin of Jennerstown. Grandchildren: Matthew Boyer, Lauren Sines, Rebecca Sines,  Onia Hay and Emily  Shaffer. Brother of David SInes and wife  Joan and Diana Golliday  and husband Bob both of Terra Alta, WV. James was a member of the Geiger Church of the Brethren, former employee of the Somerset Foundry and a Viet Nam veteran.  The family would like to thank the Somerset Oncology Center and Windber Hospice for their kindness.  Graveside services and interment will be held  at 11:00 am Saturday in the Beams Cemetery with Reverend Linda and John Stoner officiating.
