John W Foust

John William Foust Jr. 86 of Somerset, passed away July 28, 2023 at his residence. He was born May 23, 1937 in Somerset Township to the late John and Gladys (Mostoller) Foust.  He was also preceded in death by his sisters Helen Coughenour, Phyllis Manges, and brother Clarence Mostoller.  He is survived by his wife Cathy (Stahl) Foust, step daughter Jennifer Spangler Ginter of Somerset. Grandchildren Fred Blubaugh of Phoenix Az, and Zachary Blubaugh of Somerset, brother Harry Foust and wife Wilma of Somerset and sister Evelyn Ogline of Berlin. Also, numerous nieces and nephews, sister and brother in law Susan and Charlie Beal, special caregiver Amy Rock, and his special poker club buddies.  John graduated from Berlin High School in 1955 and served in the Army during the Korean conflict from 1960-1962.  He was an avid golfer, loved bowling, and horse shoes.  He was a member of the Poker Club since 1971.  Friends will be received Sunday from 1-3 pm in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where the service will take place at 3 pm with Reverend Kyle Cramer officiating.  Interment will be at Jenner Crossroads Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Somerset Human Society, PO Box 182, Somerset, Pa 15501.
