Joyce Marlene Morocco

Joyce Marlene (Shumaker) Morocco 76, of Somerset, passed away December 14, 2023. She was born October 28, 1947 to the late Forrest and Ruby Grace Shumaker. Joyce is survived by her husband of 54 years, Steven A. Morocco, by her son Joseph A. Morocco and special friend Lisa, daughter Michelle M. Beeman ad husband Kelly, grandchildren Gage Beeman and Ella B. Beeman. Brothers Vernon and Phillip (Debbie) Shumaker, and sister Joan Lauer (Wade). Also many nieces and nephews. Joyce was a 1965 graduate of Rockwood High School and a 1969 graduate of Indiana University of PA. She taught GED thru the Somerset Vo Tec for 34 years. She was a lifelong member of the Milford Church and she truly loved her church family. She loved going to the beach, spending time with her grandchildren, feeding her cats, going out to eat with her friends, planting flowers and decorating for family gatherings. She was a very special person that touched very many people in several ways. She will be greatly missed. Friends will be received from 10 am to 12 noon Tuesday in the Milford Church where services will immediately follow with Reverend Doug Burns officiating.  Interment in the Union Cemetery, New Centerville.
