Larry H. LaVigne

Larry H. LaVigne 80, of Somerset, died May 6, 2026 at his residence. Born August 1, 1945 in Johnstown he is the son of the late Franklin J. “Chub” and Alberta (Henderson) LaVigne. Survived by his wife Keila Maria (Vera) LaVigne, son Larry Jay LaVigne of Lunenburg, MA, grandchildren Colby and Sierra and sister Nancy Griffith of Boswell. Larry was a member of the House of Prayer, Somerset Masonic Lodge # 358, Syria Shrine, Somerset County Shrine Club and the Meyersdale Elks. He was a 1963 graduate of IUP and taught music at Rockwood High School. He loved music, especially playing the organ, and was always quick to share his time and talents with others. Friends will be received from 3-5 & 6-8 Sunday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where services will be held at 2 pm Monday with Dennis Paredes officiating. Interment will be private. A masonic service will be held at 6:30 Sunday. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital, 2900 N. Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607.
