Larry E. Marts

Larry E. Marts, 78, of Friedens went to be with the Lord August 5, 2025 surrounded by his family at Select Specialty Hospital in Johnstown, Pa.  Larry was born June 2, 1947 in McKeesport to the late Edward and Alice (Lennon) Marts.  He is also preceded in death by his brother Dan Stoner.  Larry is survived by his wife Bonnie (Weaver), children Stephanie Costlow and husband Michael of Poquoson, Va, Jolene Cox and husband John of King, NC, Stacy Parr and husband Bryan of Pinnacle, NC, and Vicki Newcomer and husband Paul of Somerset, grandchildren Elliott Costlow, Eric Costlow, Austin Newcomer, Jordan Cox, Jacob Newcomer, 3 great grandchildren and sister Lynne Tomlinson.  Larry was a member of the St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church and the NRA, he was an Army veteran serving in Vietnam, and former owner of Marts Auto and Mini Mart.   He enjoyed salmon fishing, flea marketing, antique cars, and spending time with his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Select Specialty Hospital for their care and compassion of our loved one.
