Obituary

Lois E. Custer 93, of Somerset, died June 11, 2023 at the Patriot. Born August 30,1929, in Stonycreek Twp, she is the daughter of the late Jeremiah and Stella (Kimmel) Keller. Also preceded in death by her husband Forrest Custer and an infant brother Billy and a brother Homer Keller. Survived by children:  Denise Custer of Lavansville and Philip Keller of Somerset. Also 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and good friend JoAnn Smith. Lois was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church and previously worked at the Katz Pajama Factory and the Childrens Aid Home. She was a 1947 graduate of Shanksville Stonycreek High School. Friends will be received from 11 – 1pm Tuesday in the ROBERT H. HALVERSON FUNERAL HOME where services will immediately follow with Pastor Kathy Stump officiating. Interment in Lambertsville Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601-7633. Condolences mad be made at www.halversonfuneralhome.com
