Marilyn Ann Fisher

Marilyn Ann Fisher, 87 of Somerset died June 2, 2022 at In Touch Hospice House. Born May 11, 1935, in Jeanette, she is the daughter of the late Louis T. and Anna Marie (Carley) Marchiando.  Marilyn grew up in Jeanette, PA working as a bank teller before marrying Gerald D. Fisher also of Jeanette. Marilyn is the heart of the family always giving more of herself than taking. Many referred to her as Saint Marilyn. She loved being with family, taking care of her grandchildren, working in her yard and mowing into her 80’s, her home on Smith St is where she loved to be the most. She is best known for her cooking and baking always in the kitchen people use to say. She worked for the Somerset School District t the high school cafeteria and volunteered working bingo at St.’s for many years. Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband Gerald D. Fisher, son Jerry, sister Donna Lu Zollinger and brother John Marchiando. Survived by her children: Debbie Beutler and husband William of Mechanicsburg, Scott Fisher and wife Barbara of Somerset and Lori Gaskin and husband Zach of Somerset. Grand children: Billy, Morgan and Matthew Beutler, Jared Fisher and Wife Natalie, Ryan Fisher and wife Megan, Hayley and fiance Michael Kirk, Sydney and Gavin Beals. Great Grandchildren: Elijah, Mayla, Jacob and Nolan.  She was a  member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Friends will be received from 9 to 11 Monday in the ROBERT H. HALVERSON FUNERAL HOME. A funeral mass will be held at 11:30 am Monday at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Father Angelo Patti celebrant. Comittal in Husband Cemetery.
