Patricia J. Feldman

Patricia J. “Mammy” (McAdoo) Feldman, 91, of Somerset and formerly Brookville, PA died June 20, 2018.  She was born June 13, 1927.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Iola (Quinn) McAdoo; her father Timothy McAdoo; and her husband, John L. Feldman.  She is survived by her children, Brigid Q. Alford married to Charles Alford of New Cumberland; Karen C. Kuhn married to Michael Kuhn of Somerset; and John W. Feldman of Williston, VT. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter: Trevor Alford, married to Kimberly; Olivia Alford; Will Alford; Hannah Corbett; Mariah Corbett; Patrick Kuhn; John Paul (JP) Feldman; and great-granddaughter Bedelia Alford.  Patsy was an active member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Somerset and formerly Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Brookville. She volunteered for years at St. Peter’s School and was loved by many students there, who fondly referred to her as “Mammy”. She enjoyed her time living at the Towers in Somerset and loved to treat them to something special to eat on bingo nights. She will especially miss her friends, Ila Stiffey and Cindy Emerick. She lived her life helping others and will be greatly missed by family and friends.  Special thanks to The Patriot in Somerset and Heartland Hospice for their care and support during her final months here. Friends will be received from 6:00 pm to 8 :00 pm Sunday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home. A  Funeral Mass will be held Monday at 10:00 am at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family would request donations to St. Peter’s Catholic School, 433 W. Church St., Somerset, PA, 15501.
