Paul Louis Carr

Paul Louis Carr, 51 of Somerset, went to be with his Lord on November 8, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife Shirley (Stahl) Carr and her son Jason., his parents, Gerald and Patty (Brunot) Carr.  Brothers  Dan and wife Lisa of Somerset and Michael and wife Karen of Sipesville and nieces and nephews. Paul loved his family, his farm and his cows, especially the calves. He was Pennsylvania Holstein Association Junior Distinguished Member in 1988. He enjoyed showing his cows and calves at the Fair, District Shows and the state level.  He went to Louisville, KY several times as an individual and part of the Pennsylvania State Herd. He bred several excellent and very good cows. He enjoyed his family, bowling, farming and getting together with his many friends. He was also a 4-H member,  the Future Farmers of America, and the National and State Holstein Association and a 1986 graduate of Somerset High School. Paul was a member of the Mt Laurel United Church of Christ. Family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 Tuesday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home and from 10 to 11 am Wednesday in the Mt. Laurel United Church of Christ where services will immediately follow with Reverend James Stobaugh and Reverend Joseph Beer officiating. Interment in Sipesville  Cemetery.
