Richard W. Smith 81, of Friedens, died June 11, 2021 at Meadow View Nursing Center. Born August 8, 1939, in Johnstown, he is the son of the late Ralph and Alice (Maser) Smith. Survived by his wife, Marion (Stern) Smith and children Branda Brant and husband Brian of Johnstown and Ralph Smith of Gray. Also survived by a granddaughter Melissa Smith. Richard was a heavy equipment operator for PBS. Friends will be received from 11 to 1 pm Tuesday in the ROBERT H.
