Robert E. Coddington, 87, of Somerset died April 18, 2020 at Meadow View Nursing Center. Born June 30, 1932, in Somerset, he is the son of the late Clarence and Magdalene ( Yoder) Coddington. Also preceded in death by sister Kay Fritz and brothers, Clarence Jr., Ronald, Freeman and Wayne. Survived by his wife, Lois (Miller) Coddington and these children: Cynthia Dunmeyer of Somerset, Deborah Cimba and husband Frances of Centreville, MD and Craig Coddington and wife Lori of Somerset. Grandchildren: David Cimba, Bryan Beggs, Jason Beggs, Mathew Dunmeyer, Justin Coddington and Katie Codington.Also 6 great grandchildren. Brother of Ray and Jay Coddington. Bob was a member of the Pike Run Church of The Brethren where he served a Superintendent, Deacon and Teacher. He was a life member of the Laurel Hill Sportsman’s Club and the American Legion and an Army veteran of Korea. He was a 1951 graduate of Somerset High School where he lettered in football and basketball and was owner of Coddington Trucking. Private graveside services will be held at Somerset County Memorial Park. Arrangements under the direction of the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home.
