Rosie Hostetler, 101, peacefully ended her life’s journey in York, Pennsylvania on June 1, 2021. Rosie was born April 7, 1920 in Somerset County to Michael and Anna Malbush. She was preceded in death by; her husband Ward Hostetler, her daughter Nancy Hostetler Henson, and siblings Julia Letsis, Ann Mehring and Joseph Suder. Rosie is survived by her Daughters Linda Ogline (Phil) of York PA; Alice Pomeroy (Oren) of Bloomington, IL; granddaughters Lisa Hostetler (Dan) of Arlington, TX; Melissa Baity of Linwood, NC; and Shelly Dehoff (Andy) of Red Lion, PA along with great granddaughters Jorjana Baity, Aubrey Dehoff and Kylie Dehoff. Rosie grew up in Somerset County in the home of John and Alice Brant whose succeeding generations have always been extended family. Rosie worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Somerset Hospital for 25 years. In that role, she helped welcome a generation of Somerset County children into this world. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Somerset. Visitation will held from 4:00 to 6:00 Sunday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where services will be held at 11:00 Monday with Reverend Arnie McFarland officiating. Rosie’s family extends their profound gratitude to the staff of Country Meadows Retirement Community of York for their loving care.
