Thelma (Walker) Fritz 100, of Somerset, passed April 8, 2025 at Siemon’s Nursing Home. Born April 25, 1924, in Somerset Twp., she is the daughter of the late Russell F. and Enola (Fritz) Walker. Also preceded in death by her husband Carl E. Fritz and siblings, Ethel (Walker) Riordan, Glenn, Ray and Clyde Walker. Survived by children, Carl Thomas Fritz and wife Deborah of Lawrenceville, GA and Susan C, Illar and husband George of Somerset. Grandchildren, Clinton and Heidi Illar, of Somerset, and Mark (Katie) Fritz and Michael (Renee) Fritz of Georgia. Seven great grandchildren, Allie, Walker, Noah, Bowen, Evelyn, Riggins and Henry Fritz all of Georgia. Also survived by several nieces and nephews plus special friends Carl and Rita Kahl. Thelma graduated from Somerset High School, class of 1941 and worked as a secretary for Somerset Area School District for 24 years retiring in 1989. Following retirement she delivered meals for Meals-On-Wheels for many years and was an active member of Christ Casebeer Lutheran Church. She loved her family, friends, flowers, birds and her Heavenly Father. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 Friday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home and from 9 –10 AM Saturday in the Christ Casebeer Lutheran Church where services will immediately follow with Reverend Allen Stump officiating. Interment in Casebeer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions in Thelma’s memory to Christ Casebeer Lutheran Church, 10377 Somerset Pike, Somerset, PA 15501 would be appreciated.
