Thelma Ruth May 87, of Somerset, has been called home to the Lord on March 23, 2026. Born August 23,1938 in Lincoln Township, she is the daughter of the late Charles Marcellus and Irene (St. Clair) Kline. Also preceded in death by a brother Charles Kline and sisters Dorothy and Evelyn. Survived by children Michelle May (husband Kevin Colter) of Colorado Springs and David May (wife Elenita Flores May) currently of Barrigada, Guam and granddaughter Hannah. Thelma was a member of the Mt. Laurel United Church of Christ and the church counsel. She was a 1956 graduate of Somerset High School and 1966 graduate of Springfield State Hospital Nursing School, Maryland. She retired from the Somerset State Hospital as a LPN. She was also a 4-H Leader for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, gardening and spending time with her granddaughter. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 Thursday, April 2 in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where services will be held at 11 am Friday, April 3 with Dr. Reverend Joseph Beer officiating. Interment in St. John’s Cemetery, Edie. Contributions may be made to The Women’s Guild at Mt. Laurel United Church of Christ, 1209 Keysertown
