William Noah Mitchell Sr. 76, of Milford Twp., went to be with his Lord, March 10, 2018 at his residence. Born March 5, 1942, in Rockwood, he is the son of the late James and Catherine (Gephart) Mitchell. Bill was the last surviving of 13 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Sutton) Mitchell and these children: William Mitchell Jr. and wife Yong, Bonnie Burkett and husband Ed and Brian Mitchell and fiancé Melissa Webber all of Somerset. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren: Jonathan and Sarah Mitchell and Blaze Ash. Bill was a member of the Milford United Methodist Church, life member of VFW Post 554 in Somerset, where he served on the Honor Guard and a life member of the Rockwood American Legion Post 279. He retired as owner and operator of Mitchell Supply. He was an Army veteran and a 1960 graduate of Rockwood High School. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 Tuesday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home and from 10 am to 11 am Wednesday in the Milford United Methodist Church where a service will immediately follow with Reverend Doug Burns officiating. Interment in St. John’s Cemetery with military honors. Contributions may be made to Milford United Methodist Church, 368 Bando Rd., Somerset, PA 15501.
