William J. Williams

William J. Williams 96, of Somerset, died March 28, 2021 at Meadow View Nursing Center. Born July 7, 1924, in Johnstown, he is the son of the late Percy and Violet (Wilkens) Williams. Also preceded in death by his wife Marilyn (Sayler) Williams, brother James and sisters Mary Alice Sloan, Viola Bonner, Margaret Helsell, Roberta Adams and Dorothy Torchia.  Survived by a brother David Williams sand wife Alverta of Homer City and his caretaker with whom he lived Sally Maranowski and husband Bill. A special thank you to his nurse Stephanie Weidner from Interim Hospice. Bill was retired from Bethlehem Steel and was a WWII Navy veteran serving in the Pacific from 1943 to 1946, recently being honored as the oldest living WW II Veteran in Somerset County. A graveside service will be held at Grandview Cemetery on Saturday April 3, 2021 at 11 am with military rites by the Somerset County Honor Guard. Arrangements under the direction of the Robert H.
